Unwillingly. Unwittingly.
But not unprovoked.
Kit Isley is everything she’s not—unstructured, untethered,
and not even a little bit careful.
It could all be so beautiful … if he wasn’t dating her best friend.
Helena must defy her heart, do the right thing, and think of others.
Until she doesn’t.

This was my first Tarryn Fisher book and can I just say that I loved it so SO VERY MUCH!!!!
It inspired me so much and made me just want to get out there. It also REALLY made me want to go to Port Townsend, Washington! The way I was described made it sound so beautiful. It is definitely on my bucketlist of places I want to go now. I mean look at it! (I HAD to google)
So let’s jump right in. Our main characters name is Helena
and I loved her! I loved her personality, her awkwardness, her weirdness, her
top notch, and she’s funny! I really enjoyed seeing how her story played out
from the beginning to end. When I started this book I was having a book
hangover from another book and this got me out of it right away from page one.
One aspect of the book that I found really interesting was
the chapter titles. Each chapter was titled with a hashtag and I thought that
was pretty cool. It definitely displayed the generation of today.
A big part of this book is about Helena finding herself. Some
of the choices made in the book weren’t always great but there were some good
some ones in there. I liked the fact that mistakes were made by the characters
and that everything wasn’t perfect. Making mistakes comes with the journey of
finding yourself.
Something else I really loved about this book was all the Harry
Potter references! There were so many and it was perfect! Who doesn’t love a
good Potter reference?!
5 points to Gryffindor!
(aka 5 Stars!)
